The Moldovan government has approved the proposal of the National Crisis Management Center to introduce a high alert regime in the energy sector for 60 days.
According to NewsMaker.md, this was reported by the Ministry of Energy of Moldova.
"As a result of recent attacks on energy infrastructure in southern Ukraine, the Isaccea-Vulcanesti power line is currently disconnected. Teams of three transmission system operators are carrying out technical checks," the statement said.
The National Crisis Management Center of Moldova, in turn, emphasized that the Isaccea-Vulcanesti line is an important element of the regional and national power system, and the situation is being monitored in real time.
According to the newspaper, the outage occurred on Monday, March 23, at about 19:00. Since then, Moldova has been importing electricity from Ukraine.
In the evening of March 23, it was reported that Russian "Shahids" attacked Odesa region, which led to a blackout in part of Odesa district. In particular, the power was cut off in the Peresypskyi district.
On the evening of March 22 and at night of March 23, the civilian infrastructure of Odesa region was again subjected to a massive drone attack by Russians. As a result of falling debris, the roofs of two private houses were damaged and windows were smashed. A warehouse in the port area was also damaged. There were no casualties.
On the night of March 23, starting at 18:00 on March 22, the enemy attacked Ukraine with 251 Shahed, Gerbera, Italmass and other types of attack drones. According to preliminary data, as of 8:00 a.m., air defense neutralized 234 enemy UAVs. There were 17 strike UAVs hit at 11 locations, and the downed UAVs fell at eight locations.
