The Republic of Moldova has finally confirmed its ownership of the Moldova sanatorium in Odesa. The Commercial Court of Cassation of the Supreme Court of Ukraine has put an end to the long-running litigation. The decision is not subject to appeal. It concerns nine real estate objects of the sanatorium complex.

This was reported by the State Property Agency of the Republic of Moldova.

Thus, the Supreme Court dismissed the appeal of the other party, Maxtgroup Limited Liability Company, and upheld the decision of the South-Western Economic Court of Appeal of September 24, 2025. This decision recognized the ownership of the Republic of Moldova, represented by the State Property Agency, to the real estate of the sanatorium complex.

The decision of the appeal instance confirmed Moldova's ownership of nine real estate objects that are part of the sanatorium. The trial has been completed in full, and there is no possibility of further appeal.

The State Property Agency of Moldova notes that the return of the sanatorium is a confirmation of the state's policy of protecting public property, including objects located outside the country, using all available legal mechanisms.

The Court also ordered the State Property Fund of Ukraine to provide documents in the case of returning the Kuyalnyk sanatorium to the state. The prosecutor's office insists that the subsidiary Pirogov Clinical Sanatorium vacate the occupied premises.

Earlier, it was decided to turn the former Chuvyrin sanatorium on Frantsuzsky Boulevard into a public park. The investor will pay for all the improvement works.
