The Department of Culture and Tourism of the Izmail city government has signed an agreement with local businesswoman Lyubov Gabor to produce five memorial plaques to the fallen defenders of Ukraine who are residents of the city.

The plaques are to be placed on the facades of the buildings of educational institutions where the soldiers studied, writes an Intent correspondent.

The cost of the order, which must be completed by the end of this year, is 94,500 UAH, or 18,900 UAH for the production of one memorial plaque.

It should be added that on September 23, 2024, the executive committee of the Izmail City Council approved a decision to install memorial plaques on the buildings of educational institutions in Izmail, where the fallen defenders of Ukraine studied.

The appendix to the decision contains a description of a single memorial plaque to be installed on the facades of the city's educational institutions. It will be a black granite slab measuring 50x100x5 centimeters. The memorial plaque will be placed on the facade of the building near the main entrance at a height of 1.6 meters to 2 meters from the ground. It is proposed to install no more than one plaque to perpetuate the memory of the fallen Defender of Ukraine.

Memorial plaques will be installed as part of the Izmail City Program of Social Support for Defenders of the Ukrainian State. The Department of Culture and Tourism of the Izmail City Council of the Izmail District of Odesa Region will compile and maintain a register of memorial plaques.

According to the YouControl analytical service, Lyubov Gabor has been registered as an individual entrepreneur for over 14 years. The key activity is the organization of burials and related services. The businesswoman's registration address coincides with the registration address of the founder of the funeral company "Grand", which is a monopolist in this service market in the city - Hryhoriy Yukhymovych Chmyga, the father of the secretary of the Izmail City Council, Serhiy Hryhorovych Chmyga.

In August 2024, the Labor and Social Protection Department of the Izmail City Council ordered Lyubov Gabor to install 20 gravestones on the graves of Ukrainian defenders for UAH 945,590.
