On March 18, Odesa residents said goodbye to former Deputy Mayor of Odesa Serhiy Tetyukhin, who was killed by Russian missiles, and on March 17, the Odesa garrison said goodbye to firefighter Denys Kolesnikov, a rescuer.

This was reported by the press service of the Odesa City Hall and the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Odesa Oblast.

According to the mayor's office, on March 15, he rushed to save people but died.

Denys Kolesnikov was also one of the first to arrive at the scene of the missile strike. Then Russia hit first with one missile, and later hit the same place with a second.

On March 16, the city and region declared a day of mourning. Also on that day, it became known that one of the rescuers who was hospitalized after the attack had died.

According to the Southern Defense Forces, the missile attack on the city's civilian infrastructure destroyed a three-story building of a recreational facility, damaged at least 10 private houses, a service station, a low-pressure gas pipeline, ambulances, and fire and rescue vehicles.

It is known that the attack killed the former deputy mayor of Odesa, Serhiy Tetyukhin, who had mobilized into the Armed Forces, and the former deputy head of the Main Department of the National Police of Odesa Region, commander of the Tsunami battalion, Oleksandr Gostishchev.

Several hundred Odesa residents were left without gas and electricity, which was restored on March 16.

The March 15 rocket attack was the deadliest in Odesa since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

The Dnipro City Council plans to name one of the city's public gardens after Oleksandr Hostyshchev, former deputy head of the National Police of Odesa region and commander of the Tsunami battalion, who was killed in the March 15 rocket attack on Odesa.
