In Odesa, TCC fighters suffered eye burns due to tear gas

A group of unidentified men attacked and fought with military personnel of the territorial center for recruitment and social support.

According to the press service of the Odesa Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support, the incident took place on February 15 in the Kyiv district of Odesa.

According to the TCC, while performing activities to check military registration documents and escorting a violator of military registration to the district TCC and SP, a group of servicemen was subjected to aggressive physical pressure from a group of civilians.

Instead of fulfilling the legal requirements of the representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the crowd resorted to massive obstruction of state activities in the field of mobilization preparation. In the course of the incident, tear gas and physical force were used against the servicemen.

As a result of the illegal actions, the personnel of the alert group sustained bodily injuries of varying severity and chemical burns of the cornea. The injured servicemen were hospitalized. The attackers also damaged the official vehicle and video recording equipment.

This refers to a video posted on social media. The authors reported that the man was detained and tried to be taken to the CCC, but the driver of one of the cars blocked the traffic and passers-by pulled the mobilized man out of the car. During these actions, one of the attackers fought with a member of the CCC.

The day before, there was also an attack on the military of the CCC near the musical comedy theater in Odesa. During the work of the alert group, one of the soldiers was stabbed by an unknown person who fled when other soldiers and police officers provided first aid to the victim. Investigative actions and measures to locate and detain the attacker are currently underway. The legal qualification of the incident will be provided by the authorized bodies in the framework of criminal proceedings.
