Over the past day, more than 40 settlements in the Kherson region were attacked by Russian occupation forces.

According to the Kherson Regional Military Administration, the enemy shelled residential areas, critical and social infrastructure.

As a result of the attacks, 12 private houses, a cell tower, a fire and rescue unit, and a car were damaged. Among the settlements that came under fire were Antonivka, Stanislav, Daryivka, Shyroka Balka, Beryslav, Bilozerka, Zmiivka, Olgivka, Kozatske, Kherson and others.

The shelling resulted in seven people sustaining injuries of varying severity.

According to the State Emergency Service, Russian troops fired twice at rescuers. During the shelling of one of Kherson's neighborhoods, an employee of the State Emergency Service was injured while performing emergency rescue operations. He was hospitalized, and the fire was quickly extinguished.

Another shelling took place in the village of Bilozerka. The enemy fire damaged the building of the fire and rescue unit, but the personnel who were in the shelter were not injured.

On January 21, the Russian military launched numerous attacks in the Kherson region. Two people were killed and 11 others were injured as a result of Russian aggression.

In the morning, a 61-year-old local resident fell victim to a Russian "petal" mine in the village of Antonivka. As a result of the explosion, the man sustained serious injuries - an explosive wound and a foot injury. The victim was promptly taken to the hospital.

Earlier, a police car hit a mine while evacuating a sick 60-year-old resident of frontline Odradokamianka.

Earlier, the Russian occupation army, which cynically terrorizes the population of the de-occupied Kherson region, recently remotely mined a section of one of the streets in the city's Dniprovskyi district with anti-personnel landmines"Petal".

Also in Kherson, police explosive technician Oleksandr Viter was killed during demining after Russian attacks . Before that, six employees of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, who were engaged in humanitarian demining in Kherson region, came under targeted fire from Russians and were killed. Two more SES employees, including a female paramedic, were injured.
