The occupants shelled residential areas, damaging two high-rise buildings, seven private houses, a gas pipeline and several cars.

Two people died as a result of the shelling. One of them, a 56-year-old man, died in hospital after a Russian drone strike in Kherson in the morning. Three others were injured in the attack. Two men suffered moderate injuries, while the condition of the woman who suffered the most remains critical - doctors continue to fight for her life.

In total, 11 people were injured over the day.

On the morning of January 21, a 61-year-old local resident fell victim to a Russian "petal" mine in Antonivka village. As a result of the explosion, the man sustained serious injuries - an explosive wound and a foot injury. The victim was promptly taken to the hospital.

Earlier, a police car hit a mine while evacuating a sick 60-year-old resident of frontline Odradokamianka.

Earlier, the Russian occupation army, which cynically terrorizes the population of the de-occupied Kherson region, recently remotely mined a section of one of the streets in the city's Dniprovskyi district with anti-personnel landmines"Petal".

Also in Kherson, police explosive technician Oleksandr Viter was killed during demining after Russian attacks . Before that, six employees of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, who were engaged in humanitarian demining in Kherson region, came under targeted fire from Russians and were killed.
