The Russian army has changed its tactics of attacking southern Ukraine. In particular, in the Mykolaiv region, kamikaze drones have been launched more often during the daytime and targeted at objects that could cause a public outcry.

This was reported by Vitaliy Kim, head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, on the air of the United News telethon.

According to him, there are noticeable changes in the tactics of enemy attacks in the region. The Russian military has begun to use Shahed-type kamikaze drones more often during the daytime. In addition, the drones are used with video communication, which allows the operator to see the target in real time and adjust the flight.

Because of this, sometimes drones have to be shot down directly over the city.

"Nowadays, drones are deliberately sent to objects that will be public. There is no point in hitting an ambulance, and it is clearly visible to the operator when it strikes. We have to work on some of them over the city, everyone can see it and it worries people," said Vitaliy Kim.

At the same time, the attacks are not limited to Mykolaiv itself. Communities in the region where the Russian military is actively using FPV drones - small drones that are controlled in real time - are regularly targeted.

According to Kim, the president has ordered to strengthen protection against FPV drones in small frontline towns. A plan is already being implemented in Mykolaiv region, but details are not disclosed for security reasons.

As Intent previously wrote, on the morning of March 4, Russian occupation forces attacked Mykolaiv with attack drones. One of the drones fell near a passenger car of a train, causing a fire and an injured person.

In addition, the morning attack by Russian troops on Mykolaiv on February 22 damaged energy infrastructure facilities. The occupiers used Shahed-type attack drones, which led to large-scale power outages in the city.

According to preliminary data, about 16,000 customers were left without electricity. Work is currently underway to eliminate the effects of the shelling and restore power. It is reported that there were no casualties. Specialists are currently working to eliminate the effects of the shelling and restore power.
