A former paramedic from Odesa was sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property for high treason.

This was reported by the SBU press center.

According to law enforcement, the man was recruited remotely in April 2024. At that time, he worked in an ambulance and attracted the attention of the Russian Federal Security Service with his comments in anti-Ukrainian Telegram channels.

After being recruited, the agent collected coordinates for air strikes on one of the region's port cities. Among the main targets of the enemy were the basing points of personnel and ships of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

To disguise the crime, the traitor spied on the probable locations of the Defense Forces during his working visits to respond to a call at 103.

SBU officers exposed the agent in advance, documented his intelligence activities and detained him in the summer of 2024. The investigation also revealed that he additionally tried to identify the combat positions of Ukrainian air defense, which the enemy hoped to "bypass" during air strikes.

During the search, the SBU seized the traitor's phone with evidence of his work for the enemy.

Based on the evidence collected by the SBU, a panel of judges found the offender guilty under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law).

The Security Service of Ukraine reported the detention in Odesa region of another agent of the Russian Federal Security Service who was adjusting missile and drone strikes on one of the region's port cities.

In April, a court in Odesa region found the former deputy head of the center for work with personnel of the Center for Operational (Combat) Support of the Ukrainian Navy guilty of high treason and desertion.
