Odesa Mayor Gennadiy Trukhanov has declared November 19 a Day of Mourning for those killed in the Russian missile attack on the city on November 18.

The mayor's order was published by the municipality's press service.

Traditionally, the State Flag of Ukraine and the flag of Odesa with mourning ribbons will be at half-mast on the buildings of executive bodies, utilities, institutions and organizations of the Odesa City Council.

They also recommended that enterprises, institutions and organizations of the city, regardless of their form of ownership, limit the use of music and entertainment.

"Another black day in the history of Odesa. Non-humans are shooting at our Mother, killing our people, trying to turn off the lights and deprive us of heat. The number of wounded is now 47 people. We are eliminating the consequences of the enemy's attack on the spot, and hospitals are fighting for the lives and health of the victims," commented the head of the Odesa regional administration, Oleg Kiper.

The death toll from the missile attack on Odesa on the afternoon of November 18 reached 10 people, including seven police officers, a medic and two local residents. Earlier, 43 residents were reported injured, including four children.

According to the command of the Ukrainian Air Force, the enemy attacked Odesa with an Iskander-M ballistic missile, which was shot down by air defense. The downed enemy missile landed in the residential sector of the city's Prymorsky district. In addition, at 11.45 a.m., an enemy Orlan-10 UAV, which was probably a reconnaissance aircraft, was shot down by air defense on the approach to Odesa.

Odesa residents are also suffering from power supply problems caused by Russian shelling on November 17 - electricity has been cut off in some places for 26 hours. According to the mayor's office, it will be replaced by the usual increased number of taxis and additional large buses that Odesa has received from international partners.

Due to the electricity situation, on November 17, the Commission on Technogenic and Environmental Safety and Emergency Situations of the Odesa Regional State Administration declared October 18 and 19 as days off for schools and kindergartens in Odesa.
