Air defense of Odesa region repelled drone attack for two hours, but there were hits

On the night of September 26, the Russian army once again attacked the Odesa region with attack drones, trying to target infrastructure facilities.

This was reported by the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper.

According to him, the air defense units repelled the attack for two hours, but some drones still reached the target, damaging the transformers of one of the transport infrastructure facilities. A fire broke out and was extinguished by firefighters. No people were injured.

According to the Air Force press center, on the night of September 26, Russians attacked Ukraine with 154 Shahed, Gerbera, and other types of attack drones. The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

According to preliminary data, as of 7:30 a.m., air defense destroyed or suppressed 128 enemy Shahed, Gerber and other types of drones in the north, south, east and center of the country. At the same time, 26 attack UAVs were recorded at nine locations, as well as the fall of downed UAVs (wreckage) at one location.
