Odesa Mayor Ihor Koval has appointed Deputy Mayor Volodymyr Domnitsak as interim acting mayor.

The corresponding order was published by the press service of the city council.

The order does not specify anything other than the name, surname and patronymic of the new deputy mayor, and they completely coincide with the data of the chief of staff of the Dnipropetrovs'k Regional State Administration. The declaration of Volodymyr Domnitsak from Dnipro indicates that he is a co-owner of an apartment in Odesa, which he owns in half with his wife. His wife is an officer of the National Police in Odesa region.

In 2024, he received gifts totaling 240 thousand hryvnias. He drives a 2008 Toyota Land Cruiser 120, which was purchased by his wife in 2022. He keeps 100 thousand hryvnias in cash and 41 thousand US dollars jointly with his wife.

Earlier, the acting mayor of Odesa, Ihor Koval, dismissed Valeriy Silin from the post of deputy mayor. The reason for Valeriy Silin's dismissal was his personal statement. He is to be paid monetary compensation for 98 calendar days of unused annual leave.

On October 15, the President signed a decree appointing the head of the Dnipropetrovs'k Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak, as the head of the newly created Odesa City Military Administration. His team included two deputies: Nadiya Zadorozhna, former deputy head of the Dnipropetrovs'k regional administration for social issues, Olga Lozova, former director of the Department of Education and Science of the Dnipropetrovs'k Regional Military Administration, Hennadiy Raskin, who had previously worked in the mayor's office, and Serhiy Krasylenko, who was appointed deputy head of the Odesa military administration.
