According to Storm's management, on September 1, the management of the Odesa Sports Palace imposed conditions on the ice arena that were unacceptable to the team, and the ice arena was in a thawed state. In this regard, it was announced that Storm would play the next Ukrainian championship in another city, which was to be announced later.

According to him, the conditions of use of the venue have not changed, and the Ice Arena was to be flooded, as it is every year, by September 20. - Unfortunately, in addition to time, Ukrainian sports must always take into account such a factor as the terrorist actions of the Russian Federation. On the night of September 7, a massive attack by kamikaze drones was carried out on Ukraine. As a result of one of them hitting the Palace of Sports in Odesa, it was heavily damaged.
- According to Yevhen Filonov, at 4 am, the Palace of Sports was pouring ice for the arena. There were three employees in the building who were miraculously unharmed. One "shahed" hit the Palace of Sports directly, the second hit a neighboring residential complex, and the third hit one of the ice machines.
