Walking with a dog in Kherson turned into transferring data about the Armed Forces to the enemy

In Kherson, the couple ended up in the dock for activities that could have directly harmed the city's defense. According to the investigation, while the woman was collecting coordinates of the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the man was simultaneously promoting pro-Russian narratives online.

This was reported by the press service of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office.

Law enforcement officers submitted to the court an indictment against a local couple who are accused of disseminating information about the Ukrainian military and justifying Russian aggression.

The investigation found that the woman was active on Telegram: she systematically left comments supporting the actions of the aggressor state, justified the war against Ukraine, called for the seizure of territories and glorified the Russian military.

In addition, she passed on information to third parties about the deployment, movement, and fortification of the Armed Forcesof Ukraine. She collected the data while walking her dog - she walked around the area, recorded the positions of the military and sent them via messenger, realizing the possible consequences for the country's defense.

Her husband, according to the investigation, acted in the same information field - in pro-Russian telegram channels, he distributed materials justifying Russian aggression, supporting the occupation and glorifying the Russian military. Law enforcement officers exposed both of them in February 2026 in Kherson.

The woman is charged with several articles - public calls to change the state border, unauthorized dissemination of information about the Armed Forces of Ukraine and justification of Russian aggression. Her husband is charged with justifying and recognizing the armed aggression of the aggressor state as legitimate.

Also in late March, the Security Service of Ukraine served suspicion notices to the defendants in the case of sabotage and preparation of a contract murder, which law enforcement officers had been documenting for several months. These are a Russian citizen and a native of Kherson, whom the investigation considers to be the coordinators of a network that acted against Ukraine.
