In Kherson, a woman who transmitted information about the location of the Ukrainian military was exposed. Law enforcement officials believe that these messages could have helped the enemy to adjust their attacks on the city.

This is evidenced by the decision of the Central District Court of Mykolaiv.

According to the investigation, she used the Telegram messenger registered to her number and an account with a pseudonym. In the period from December 18 to 24, 2025, the messenger transmitted information about the location and movement of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations in Kherson.

Thus, according to law enforcement, information was transmitted about the location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a five-story building on Perekopska Street, near the Center for Scientific and Technical Information and the Kherson Medical College. It also described the movement of military equipment past a residential building on Valentyna Krytsak Street. In addition, she provided information on the location of the Armed Forces units in the building of school No. 32.

She also provided information on the arrangement of dugouts on the territory of the medical college and on the location of AFU units in schools 32 and 36 on Perekopska Street. This information included the location of weapons, personnel, fortifications and vehicles of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

The suspect's actions were classified under Part 2 of Art. 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - dissemination of information about the location of military formations with the possibility of their identification on the ground under martial law. The suspect was detained on February 5, 2026, and served a notice of suspicion the same day.

Investigators noted that the suspect maintains contacts with representatives of the aggressor country, which creates a risk of her escape or continuation of criminal activity. There is also a possibility of influencing witnesses, destroying or concealing documents and other material evidence, as she had direct ties to pro-Russian individuals and access to key information about critical infrastructure and the movement of defense forces.

Due to the high risk of re-offense and the inability to control the behavior of the accused, the judge ruled to take her into custody for 60 days without bail. The crime is classified as a serious crime and is punishable by imprisonment for a term of 5 to 8 years.

The court also sentenced a former law enforcement officer from Kherson, finding him guilty of treason and collaboration. He worked in the occupation penal colony during the seizure of the city.
