The Security Service of Ukraine has documented yet another case of unauthorized dissemination of information about the deployment and combat activities of the Defense Forces. Operational measures were conducted in different regions of the country, where the facts of disclosure of classified data that could harm the security of the units were established.
This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine.
In particular, in Mykolaiv, military counterintelligence officers prevented the dissemination of classified information about the routes of Ukrainian units in the south of the country. As a result of the measures taken, a 31-year-old contract serviceman of one of the combat brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was served a notice of suspicion.
It was established that the man published a video of his unit's movement on his TikTok page, which created a threat of disclosing the positions of Ukrainian defenders. Law enforcement is currently taking measures to minimize the consequences of the information leak.
SBU investigators served the suspect a notice of suspicion for committing offenses under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. He is accused of violating parts 1 and 2 of Article 114-2, which concerns the unauthorized dissemination of data on the movement and location of the Armed Forces or other military formations.
The contractor was also served a notice of suspicion under Part 1 of Article 436-2 for justifying and recognizing the legitimacy of Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine, as well as glorifying its participants.
Earlier, a police officer who spread pro-Russian propaganda on social media was exposed in Mykolaiv region. She was notified of suspicion of justifying and glorifying Russia's armed aggression.
According to the investigation, the head of the temporary detention center No. 2 was found to have justified, denied and recognized the legitimacy of Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine, as well as glorified its participants under Part 2, Part 3 of Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code.
Law enforcers established that the suspect used TikTok and telegram to disseminate anti-Ukrainian content, leave comments and reposts, supporting the "transfer" of certain Ukrainian regions to Russian control and calls for a violent change of government. A linguistic examination confirmed the unlawful nature of her statements.
