Ukraine Allocates ₴1.8B for Reconstruction of 180 Communities Affected by russian Aggression

The Government of Ukraine has allocated UAH 1.8 billion for the reconstruction of 180 communities in nine regions most affected by Russian aggression. Among them are Kherson and Mykolaiv regions.

This is stated on the government portal.

According to Oleksiy Kuleba, Vice Prime Minister for Reconstruction of Ukraine and Minister of Community and Territorial Development, the funds will be used for the most urgent needs: emergency restoration work after shelling, construction of protective shelters, purchase of special equipment for utilities, and repair of heating and gas networks.

The annex states that communities in Kherson, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Sumy, Donetsk, Luhansk, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, and Chernihiv regions will receive funding. In particular, in Kherson region, the Kherson city community will receive the most funds - UAH 75 million, and Novokakhovka - UAH 64 million. Other communities, including Stanislavska, Bilozerska, Borozenska, Vysokopilska, Kalynivska, and Novovorontsovska, will receive from UAH 2.9 to 15.9 million.

In Mykolaiv Oblast, the Kutsurubska, Bashtanska, and Ochakivska communities will receive UAH 5.8 million each, as well as the Mykolaiv city community - UAH 370 thousand. More than 15 other communities, including Bereznehuvata, Novobuzka, and Pervomaisk, will receive UAH 2.9 million each.

In total, the Kherson region will receive about UAH 243.37 million, and the Mykolaiv region will receive about UAH 58.22 million.

The Cabinet of Ministers emphasized that these funds should ensure a prompt response to humanitarian challenges, stabilize critical infrastructure and increase security for civilians in the frontline regions.

Intent has already written that the Cabinet of Ministers has allocated additional funds for the restoration of Kherson and other affected regions. In particular, UAH 5.2 billion will be allocated for the comprehensive restoration of five settlements, including Posad-Pokrovske in Kherson region.

The Government of Ukraine has also allocated UAH 16.6 million from the state budget for Pivdenoukrainsk in Mykolaiv region. The funds will be used to implement recovery projects in 2025.
