The Government of Ukraine has allocated additional funds for the restoration of Kherson and other affected regions. In particular, UAH 5.2 billion will be allocated for the comprehensive restoration of five settlements, including Posad-Pokrovske in Kherson region.

The decision was made during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on March 7, according to the government's website.

According to Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, the funds will be used for major repairs, construction of new housing, and modernization of heat, gas, and water supply systems.

In addition, the government has allocated another UAH 5 billion to implement 150 projects in 12 regions of Ukraine as part of a joint program with the European Investment Bank. The projects include the repair and construction of hospitals, schools, kindergartens, and energy efficiency improvements.

The Prime Minister emphasized that the recovery is based on the principle of "rebuilding better than before," which means a comprehensive approach to modernizing infrastructure and improving the lives of citizens.

The Cabinet of Ministers also decided to transfer more than UAH 1.8 billion for the reconstruction of Ukraine using funds managed by the Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA).

In March 2022, the village of Posad-Pokrovske, located on the border of Kherson and Mykolaiv regions, was on the front line. For more than eight and a half months, this area has been a zone of active hostilities. Despite constant attacks, Russian troops failed to capture the village. In the spring of 2023, the village was included in a comprehensive reconstruction project.

Reconstruction in Posad Pokrovskyi began but stopped in 2024. In August 2024, it became known that the Cabinet of Ministers had again allocated money for the reconstruction of the village.

Recently, the Infrastructure Restoration and Development Service in Kherson region announced the first tender for the overhaul of private residential buildings in the village of Posad Pokrovske of the Chornobaivska rural territorial community.

The Restoration Service has also started searching for a contractor to reconstruct the gas supply system in Posad Pokrovske. UAH 111.2 million will be spent on this.
