Vehicular traffic on the M-15 Odesa-Reni highway (to Bucharest), through the village of Mayaki in Odesa region, is blocked in both directions.
This was announced by the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper.
The head of the regional military administration did not announce the reason for this decision, but earlier he said that in the evening of December 18, during an attack in Odesa region, an enemy attack drone hit a bridge connecting settlements in the area of the Dniester estuary and also hit a bridge over the Dniester River near the village of Mayaki. There, an enemy attack drone hit a civilian car that was crossing the bridge. There was a woman with three children in the car. The mother was seriously injured and died in an ambulance. Her three children were taken to the hospital with injuries and acute stress reaction.
The military administration of Odesa and Odesa region, as well as the regional organization of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society, have deployed a Humanitarian Coordination Center at the site of the roadblock to provide the necessary first aid to those who were traveling on the road during the roadblock and became hostage to the situation.
Meanwhile, a residential area in the Peresypskyi district of Odesa, formerly known as Kotovsky's village, was left without electricity, water and heat supply as a result of the Russian attack on December 19. The Russians damaged an energy infrastructure facility. The shock wave damaged the glass in a five-story residential building. One person was injured.
On the night of December 19, according to the General Staff, the enemy attacked with 160 Shahed, Gerber and other types of attack UAVs. According to preliminary data, as of 8:00 a.m., air defense neutralized 108 enemy UAVs. At the same time, 47 attack UAVs were recorded at 23 locations.
