Mykolaiv resident was taken into custody on suspicion of treason. He passed information about the location of military units and strategic facilities in the city to an agent of the aggressor state.

This is evidenced by the decision of the Central District Court.

According to the investigation, the suspect voluntarily provided a representative of the aggressor state with information about the location of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations in Mykolaiv. The data was transmitted via a messenger, including the coordinates of objects, schedules of deployment of troops and protection of strategic enterprises.

The information provided included details of the plant's security:"We have six checkpoints at the plant, and only one has a soldier with an assault rifle. They don't stand anywhere else. They are brought in at 6 a.m., six people a day. They don't spend the night at the plant, only our factory workers and these soldiers."

The suspect also reported the location of other facilities and airfields:"It's near the oil depot, a former checkpoint. Drones are constantly being hit from there. It's 800 meters from my house. The rest of the places are empty, no one has been there for a long time. Kulbakyno airfield is where you can't miss, and the soldiers sleep at night and are taken away during the day."

He provided the following information about military units in the city:"There was one in Solyanye, but the 22nd specifically flew there, there were a lot of corpses. This unit is far from me, but there is no such movement there as before." When asked about the presence of military units in Mykolaiv, the suspect replied:"As soon as there is shooting, I always write and ask how they are doing. Yesterday they were shooting for about 20 minutes. My wife and I were sitting in the yard and looking in that direction. It was passing by. We saw the shooting and the drone, but the drone flew away."

He also received instructions to clarify the situation in Kulbakyno with short messages to inform the representative of the aggressor state about the movement of troops and drones.

On October 1, 2025, the suspect was detained in accordance with Art. 208 and Art. 615 of the CPC of Ukraine. He was served a notice of suspicion of committing a particularly serious crime under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - high treason, which carries a sentence of 15 years or life imprisonment with confiscation of property. The court imposed a pre-trial restraint on the suspect in the form of detention until November 30, 2025.

Also in early October, the SBU exposed an agent couple in Mykolaiv who were collecting secrets of a defense plant for Russia. The female agent and her partner, an employee of the plant, were detained before passing the information to the enemy.
