The head of the educational department in Mykolaiv region awarded bonuses to her own circle

Prosecutors of the Snihuriv department of the Bashtanka district prosecutor's office have sent to court an indictment against the former head of the education department of one of the village councils of Bashtanka district.

This was reported by the Mykolaiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.

She is charged with embezzlement of other people's property through abuse of office, under martial law, which is qualified under Part 5 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. This means that the suspect could have misappropriated property worth significantly more than 500 subsistence minimums.

The investigation established that the former head of the education department had been embezzling educational subvention funds for two and a half years, awarding bonuses to a limited number of managers and teachers of general secondary education institutions.

The bonuses were paid at the expense of payroll savings, but this was done without issuing relevant orders and without the approval of trade union committees, which is a direct violation of the Regulation on Bonuses.

As a result of these actions, which qualify as embezzlement on a particularly large scale under martial law, the state budget suffered losses of more than UAH 4.3 million. She faces severe punishment for her actions - imprisonment for a term of 7 to 12 years with additional deprivation of the right to hold certain positions and confiscation of property.

As a reminder, the Specialized Environmental Prosecutor' s Office submitted an indictment to the court against the former acting director of the<b>Tiligulsky </b>Regional Landscape Park and a private entrepreneur.

The investigation found that the former acting director of the park and the entrepreneur, acting on a prior conspiracy, entered into an agreement to provide scientific and technical services to develop a project for organizing the park's territory. Knowing for certain that the work under the contract had not been completed, the entrepreneur drew up two acts of acceptance and transfer of services containing false information about the full completion of the work.

On the basis of these forged official documents certifying facts of legal significance, the park director signed payment orders and submitted them to the accounting department for payment. As a result of such actions, budget funds in the amount of almost UAH 255 thousand were embezzled, which is qualified as embezzlement of other people's property by abuse of office on a large scale by prior conspiracy.
