In times of war, the hut is not whitewashed, it is protected, the participants of the action believe, and demand that the mayor's office not waste money during the war.
According to one of the participants, the main goal of the rally is to remind the citizens once again that the war in the country is not over: "Coffee on Dumskaya again draws the attention of citizens to the fact that one should not remember the war only when a shahed flies or something explodes. People should remember it every day, every minute, and think about what I did today to help the frontline and bring victory closer," says Victoria.
Earlier, one of the participants of the rally near the city hall organized a performance. Holding a poster with the words "The Armed Forces are freezing," she took off her shoes and outerwear and stood there for a while.
On December 16, 2023, the protesters began discussing the possibility of gathering every Sunday, but they held such an action near the building of the Odesa Regional State (Military) Administration on Sunday, December 24.
The protests continue despite the fact that on November 25, Kateryna Nozhevnikova, an Odesa volunteer and head of the Monster Corporation charity foundation , decided to stop rallying near the Odesa municipality building against procurement, which she believes is inappropriate during the war. She also noted that her decision was caused by the fact that the deputies finally fulfilled the demand that started the protests, namely, the budget committee decided to recommend to their colleagues during the session to cancel the decision to allocate UAH 12 million for the repair of the Kyiv District Court of Odesa.
