Soldier from Marianivka Fined ₴ 1,020 for Illegal House Entry in Odesa

A soldier from the village of Marianivka in Shyryaivka district was brought to trial for illegally breaking into a private house.

The Ananievsky District Court of Odesa Region found the soldier guilty of committing a criminal offense under Article 162, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - violation of the inviolability of housing.

As the court found, on February 17, 2025, a serviceman - a reconnaissance man of the 2nd Mechanized Battalion - at about 13:00, passing by a house in one of the settlements of Odesa region, decided to illegally enter another person's house. After making sure that the owner was not at home, the man used a brick to break the padlock and went inside. He stayed in the house for about two hours.

The accused fully admitted his guilt, sincerely repented and cooperated with the investigation. The victim also agreed to simplified proceedings - the case was considered without court hearings, in a written format.

The court took into account the sincere repentance, the absence of material damage, and the fact that the accused had no criminal record. As a punishment, the soldier was fined UAH 1,020 (60 non-taxable minimum incomes).

Recently, the Baltskyi District Court of Odesa Oblast passed a verdict in a bribery case related to mobilization evasion. The defendant pleaded guilty and was sentenced to a fine. And Malynovskyi District Court of Odesa found a soldier guilty of falsely reporting a bomb threat to the court and sentenced him to 5 years and a month in prison.

Earlier, Intent wrote that the court ruled on the case of a serviceman who did not return to duty after a vacation. The soldier of the military unit was accused of unauthorized leaving the place of service.
