Since the beginning of 2025, 784 bodies of dead residents have been evacuated from the Kherson region. Of these, 32 bodies were taken out by volunteers, 124 by police officers, 27 by emergency crews, and 111 by district military administrations.

This was announced by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, at a meeting on the organization of the evacuation of the bodies of the dead residents of the right-bank part of the region.

After the evacuation, experts conduct relevant research and draw up the necessary documents, then the bodies are transferred for burial. According to the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, the process of evacuating the bodies is complicated by several problems. In particular, the regional bureau of forensic medical examination lacks equipment and there is not enough special transportation. In addition, working in the coastal areas is dangerous because they are constantly under fire.

Three settlements in the Kherson region have been recognized as life-threatening. The reason is constant shelling and drone attacks by the Russian army. The population needs urgent evacuation. However, the head of the Kherson regional administration decided not to force anyone to leave. In the Kherson community, the evacuation concerns the villages of Inzhenerne, Komyshanske, Sadivske and Antonivske starostas (in particular, Vostochnykh streets - from 1 to 34), as well as Andriy Orlov, Grecheska, Soborna, Perekopska streets (all streets and alleys down to the Dnipro), Korabel, Yantarny-1 and Yantarny-2 neighborhoods.

Prokudin noted that in order to protect people in the region, anti-drone nets were installed, 269 protective structures were repaired and 359 mobile shelters were installed. At the same time, he emphasized that nothing can guarantee 100% protection in the combat zone, including shelters, electronic warfare devices and nets.
