Forced evacuation in Kherson region: no one will be taken away by force

Three settlements in the Kherson region have been recognized as dangerous for life. The reason is constant shelling and drone attacks by the Russian army. The population needs urgent evacuation. However, the head of the Kherson regional administration decided not to force anyone to leave.

The head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, announced this on his Twitter page.

In the Kherson community, the evacuation concerns the villages of Inzhenerne, Komyshanske, Sadivske and Antonivske starostas (in particular, Vostochnykh streets - from 1 to 34), as well as Andriy Orlov, Grecheskaya, Sobornaya, Perekopskaya streets (all streets and alleys down to the Dnipro), Korabel, Yantarny-1 and Yantarny-2 neighborhoods.

Families with children are prohibited from entering all these settlements.

"People leave for safer regions in a centralized way - by bus or train. People are met on the spot by representatives of other regions who will help with temporary shelter, humanitarian aid and payments," - explains the head.

"I also see accusations that evacuation is 'instead of protection'. For obvious reasons, I can't talk about everything in public, including the enormous daily work that is being done to save the lives of our defenders and strengthen the defense capabilities of the city and region."

He also added that in order to protect people in the region, anti-drone nets are being installed, 269 defensive structures have been repaired, and 359 mobile shelters have been installed. At the same time, he noted that nothing can guarantee 100% protection in the combat zone, including shelters, electronic warfare devices, and anti-drone nets.

As a result of Russian aggression in Kherson region, 8 people were injured over the past day, including 1 child.

In Mykolaiv, city residents and activists gathered for a nationwide minute of silence to commemorate the captured and killed soldiers in Olenivka.
