Shaheed attack in Mykolaiv region: debris caused a fire

Last night, on January 21, Mykolaiv region came under attack from enemy drones again. The attack took place in waves, from different directions. The air alert in the region lasted more than four hours.

According to Vitaliy Kim, head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, the air defense forces in Mykolaiv region destroyed eight enemy drones of the Shahed 131/136 type. The falling debris in Pervomaiskyi district caused a fire in an open area where dry grass caught fire. Rescuers quickly extinguished the fire. Fortunately, there were no casualties.

Also, during the day on January 20, Russian occupation forces carried out five attacks using FPV drones on the territory of the Kutsurub community. There were no casualties as a result of these attacks.

An air alert was announced in the region twice during the night. On January 20 at 22:12. Then the Air Force warned about the movement of enemy UAVs from Kherson region. The first alert was given at 00:55. The second alert was announced at 03:19 on January 21. The military warned of a group of enemy drones from the northern part of the Kherson region. The air raid was canceled at 05:03.

In the Pervomaisk territorial community of Mykolaiv district, local residents found a dangerous munition - a high-explosive FAB-500 bomb. According to the State Emergency Service, specialists promptly arrived at the scene. Using a manipulator, the rescuers carefully removed the explosive object and transported it to a special area where it was safely destroyed.

Earlier in Mykolaiv region, private houses and commercial premises were damaged by Russian shelling.

On the night of January 14, the Mykolaiv air defense forces destroyed three Shahed 131/136 attack drones that the Russian military had sent to attack the region. In the village of Solonchaky, a shelling damaged the roof of a private house.

On January 13, air defense forces destroyed four Shahed 131/136 drones. In the town of Voznesensk, the wreckage of one of the downed drones fell, damaging the roof and windows of two houses and the windows of three other private homes.
