The Security Service of Ukraine has opened a criminal investigation into the obstruction of the activities of employees of the territorial center for equipment and social support at the 7 Kilometer market in Odesa on October 30.

This was reported by UNN, citing a comment from the SBU press service.

During the mobilization activities in Odesa, a group of civilians attacked the TSC's military personnel near the 7 km industrial market, using tear gas and turning the vehicle over.

The investigation concluded that the incident qualifies under Article 114-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - obstructing the activities of the TCC. Depending on the part of the article, the defendants face a sentence of 5 to 8 years in prison or 8 to 15 years.

"The case was initiated "after the fact" and will be considered as a group case against a group of individuals. Not all of these people have been identified yet, the search and identification of those involved is ongoing. There will be many defendants, of course, the punishment of each individual will depend on the extent of their offense: someone turned the bus over, conditionally, and someone was standing nearby," the Security Service said.

Eyewitnesses reported that the conflict between the workers of the warehouses on Bazova Street and the TCC began at 5:50 a.m. near the asphalt plant, when the market was still closed. At first, it was a verbal argument, which later escalated into a fight and ended with a car being overturned. Then the loaders took the detained man from the bus and disappeared.

The TCC emphasized that this was not just hooliganism or protest, but a direct attack and an attempt to forcibly obstruct legitimate mobilization activities. No dispute or disagreement with the actions of state authorities justifies violence against the military who are fulfilling their constitutional duty.
