The SBU detained a 45-year-old local resident in Mykolaiv who was passing coordinates for missile strikes to the enemy.
This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine.
The man collaborated with FSB agent Sergei Lebedev, known as 'Shaggy', who is hiding in occupied Donetsk. On his instructions, the informant was preparing a new series of attacks on the regional center. He was driving around the city, observing the Ukrainian military and marking their location on an electronic map. To hide the connection with the curator, he deleted messages after each contact.
However, SBU officers tracked down the traitor and detained him at home. During the searches, they seized a phone with evidence of espionage activities. The traitor was served a notice of suspicion for illegally disseminating information about the movements of the Armed Forces. He faces up to 12 years in prison. The court imposed a pre-trial restraint in the form of detention without bail.
A spy who was leaking information to Lokhmatyi was detained in Mykolaiv. He was a member of an agent group that was exposed back in March, when four people were detained for passing coordinates to the occupiers for strikes on the city. This time, the fifth member of this group was detained. After previous arrests, he was hiding to avoid detention.
Earlier, the SBU neutralized one of the largest Russian intelligence networks during the war: 13 occupiers' informers were detained in Mykolaiv region. The criminals collected intelligence on the locations and movements of the Defense Forces in the southern region. They also adjusted Russian air attacks on the residential and social infrastructure of the regional center.
