Russians killed 12 children in Odesa region during the full-scale war

Since 2022, Russian strikes in Odesa region have killed 12 children and injured 60 others.

According to Suspilne, this became known from a response to a request to the Odesa Regional Military Administration.

The OMA reported that the youngest victim was a girl born in 2022, three-month-old Kira Glodan. She, her mother Valeria and grandmother Lyudmila were killed as a result of a Russian missile attack on theTiras residential complex.

14-year-old Vyacheslav Yalyshev died on May 2, 2022, as a result of a missile attack by the Russian military on a military camp in Odesa. The boy was covered in debris as he ran to notify the elderly about the air raid.

Dmytro, 11, died with his mother as a result of a missile attack on theGoji recreation center in Serhiivka, Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district, on July 1, 2022.

On the night of December 31, 2023, to January 1, 2024, the Russian army attacked Odesa and the region with "shaheds". The attack killed 15-year-old Denys Melnyk.

On March 2, 2024, the Russian army attacked Odesa with "shaheds," one of which hit a 9-story residential building on Dobrovolskoho Avenue. As a result of the Russian drone hitting the high-rise, people died: 3-year-old Mark Pogorizhyn, 4-month-old Tymofiy Gaidarzhy, 7-month-old Liza Kravets, 8-year-old Zlata Polishchuk, and 9-year-old Serhiy Polishchuk.

In the evening of April 10, the Russian army launched a double ballistic missile strike on the Odesa region. The missiles attacked the transportation infrastructure. The attack killed 7-year-old Milana. And 4-year-old Zlata Rostochil was injured in a Russian ballistic missile strike on the Odesa coast on April 29. She was hospitalized in a critical condition. On May 23, Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov announced the girl's death.

At the end of 2024, 56 children were injured in Russian attacks. In 2025, this number increased to 60. In particular, in March, three 17-year-old boys were injured in an attack and suffered burns. Another, a 14-year-old teenager, sustained cut wounds to his leg in May.
