Russian Shelling in Kherson Region Kills 2, Injures 7 on March 17

In Kherson region, on March 17, Russian troops shelled the region's infrastructure facilities, damaging the Indestructibility Point and a private car. As a result of Russian aggression, 2 people were killed and 7 others were injured.

According to Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Russian troops hit critical infrastructure and residential areas of the region's settlements, including 12 private houses. Chornobayivka, Antonivka, Inzhenerne, Mykilske, Poniativka, Tokarivka, Dniprovske, Kizomys, Pravdyne, Stanislav, Shyroka Balka, Sofiyivka, Oleksandrivka, Beryslav came under enemy fire and air strikes, Zmiyivka, Novoberislav, Dudchany, Olgivka, Mykolaivka, Mykhaylivka, Chervonyi Mayak, Novooleksandrivka, Novoraysk, Burgunka, Havrylivka, Novovorontsovka, Shylova Balka, Osokorivka, Vesele and the city of Kherson.

In Zmiivka, a local resident was injured by a Russian anti-personnel mine. In the afternoon, a 48-year-old man stepped on an enemy "petal" mine, which caused him to sustain an explosive injury and amputation of his foot. At about 19:00, the Russian army attacked a resident of Kherson in Dniprovsky district with a drone. As a result of the explosion, the 56-year-old man was seriously injured. He died on the spot.

It also became known that a 71-year-old man sustained fatal injuries as a result of shelling in Antonivka on March 16. In addition, two residents of Kherson, who were injured as a result of Russian shelling a few days ago, turned to the hospital. A 68-year-old woman and a 59-year-old man were diagnosed with mine-blast and craniocerebral injuries, as well as concussions.

Earlier, many people, including a 15-year-old girl, were injured the day before by Russian UAVs. The Kherson animal shelter "4 Paws" was also damaged as a result of the attack on Kherson with guided aerial bombs.

The Russian army shelled 35 settlements in the region. This year, in February, Russian shelling killed 13 residents of Kherson, and another 113 people were injured of varying severity.
