Russian army opens fire on residents of Kherson region and destroys gas pipeline

The Russian army attacked more than 35 settlements in the Kherson region. Eleven people were injured, houses were destroyed, gas pipelines and cars were damaged.

This was reported by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin.

From May 21 to 22, Russian troops did not stop shelling the Kherson region. More than 35 settlements came under fire. Among them are Kherson, Beryslav, Stanislav, Antonivka, Zolota Balka, Tokarivka.

The attacks were carried out using drones, artillery and aircraft. The Russian army hit residential areas, critical and social infrastructure. At least four multi-story buildings, nine private houses, gas pipelines and several cars of local residents were damaged.

Eleven people were injured in the shelling.

On May 20-21, Russian troops continued to shell Kherson region. Eight multi-story buildings and four private houses were damaged as a result of the attacks. A service station, the territory of a sewage treatment plant and a passenger bus were also damaged.

Over the previous two days, May 18-19, Russians attacked more than 40 towns and villages in the region. Ten civilians were injured. Residential areas, apartment buildings, private houses, and industrial facilities were destroyed. Among them were a factory, a mobile phone tower, garages and cars.

In total, two people were killed and six others were injured during this period. Some of the strikes targeted the railroad infrastructure. In particular, in the evening of May 18, a residential area in the central district of Kherson came under fire: at least six private houses, a garage and a car were damaged. Windows were smashed, roofs were damaged, and in some cases ceilings were destroyed. Fortunately, there were no casualties.

On May 16, the Russian army shelled the railway station in Kherson for the second time. At that time, there were passengers and employees in the building, but everyone managed to get down to the shelter. The station was damaged.
