Russian army attacks the center of Kherson and destroys sewage treatment plant

The enemy attacked the Kherson region with drones, artillery and aircraft, striking residential areas and infrastructure in more than 30 settlements. High-rise buildings, private houses, sewage treatment plants and a bus were damaged.

This was reported by Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Military District Administration.

The enemy continues to terrorize the frontline territories of Kherson region. Over the day from May 20 to 21, Russian troops attacked at least 30 settlements. In particular, Beryslav, Kozatske, Tomyna Balka, Stanislav, Komyshany and Kherson came under enemy fire. Attack drones, artillery and aircraft were used.

At least eight high-rise buildings and four private houses were damaged as a result of the shelling. Social infrastructure facilities were also destroyed - the enemy hit a service station, a sewage treatment plant and a bus.

Ten civilians were injured by the Russian army.

On the morning of May 20, Russian troops opened fire on a passenger bus in the Dniprovsky district of Kherson. At least five civilians were injured as a result of the attack. In addition, a multi-storey building, seven private houses, a cell tower, outbuildings, agricultural machinery and a car were damaged.

The day before, from May 18 to 19, more than 40 settlements in Kherson region came under enemy fire. Two high-rise buildings, at least 17 private homes, a factory, a mobile phone tower, several garages and cars were destroyed. Two people were killed and six others were injured. The shelling also damaged the railroad infrastructure.

On the evening of May 18, the enemy shelled residential areas of Kherson's central district. The shelling destroyed roofs, windows, damaged ceilings, a garage and a car. On the morning of May 16, the city's railway station came under fire. At the time of the attack, there were passengers and employees on the premises, but thanks to a quick response, everyone managed to take cover and there were no casualties. The attack damaged the station building and one of the passenger train cars.
