On the night of August 4, the enemy again attacked Odesa region with attack drones, and rescuers had to extinguish fires in both Odesa and Odesa district.
According to the press service of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service, the radio market suffered the most damage: the fire destroyed dozens of trade pavilions with electronics and household appliances.
A large-scale fire was also extinguished in an inactive hostel. In Odesa district, a private house was damaged, the owner of which extinguished the fire in his own yard. According to preliminary information, no one was killed or injured.
On July 24, a massive drone attack on Odesa damaged residential buildings, causing large-scale fires and destruction, including in a high-rise building. At least three people were injured, five were rescued from the rubble, and the city suffered significant damage to civilian infrastructure. A nine-story residential building sustained the most damage. In one of the entrances, apartments from the 5th to the 8th floor were completely destroyed, and fires broke out on the 5th and 6th floors. Five people were rescued from the blocked apartments, and 33 others were evacuated. The State Emergency Service set up an Unbreakable Point near the building, and psychologists from the State Emergency Service and the National Police worked with the residents.
On the night of July 22, southern Ukrainian air defense forces shot down 11 enemy Shahed attack drones and other models of drones, all over the territory of Odesa region.
Earlier, a woman was killed in a nighttime drone attack by the Russian army on July 18 in Odesa. The attack also caused a fire to break out on the 6th to 9th floors of a 9-story residential building. The fire was extinguished by rescuers and volunteers. Five people were rescued from the burning apartments, unfortunately, one rescued woman died. Pets were also evacuated from the damaged apartments.
