Radiation shelter to be built for 17 million in Mykolaiv

It is planned to build a radiation shelter for UAH 17 million in Mykolaiv.

The tender website states that a special shelter is planned. But it is called "reconstruction of the administrative building". The address of the future project is Mykolaiv, Petrova Halyna Street, 2A.

The amount of money to be spent on the shelter is 17 million hryvnias.

The deadline for completing this order is May 31, 2026.

For reference: A radiation shelter is a leaky structure designed to protect people from ionizing radiation in the event of radioactive contamination of the area. It provides protection against radiation and can be located in basements, ground floors, or specially constructed structures. RPUs differ from shelters in that they do not provide complete sealing and protection against shock waves and light radiation, but can be effective in radiation accidents and conventional weapons.

The project is financed by a subvention from the state budget - UAH 27.4 million and from the local budget - UAH 1.4 million.

The Zhovten sanatorium has a total area of 22,762.9 square meters and is located in the prestigious Koncha Zaspa district on Stolychne Highway, making it extremely attractive for investment.

And in Kherson, the winner of the tender for the overhaul of the regional hospital shelter was announced. It was a company that has a dubious reputation due to a criminal case of overpricing. In April, the Kherson Regional Clinical Hospital announced a tender for the overhaul of the basement of the medical building. The cost of the work was estimated at UAH 35.5 million.

Dniprobursevis LLC has earned more than 96 million in public procurement. Previously, the company's services were used by customers from Kyiv region, but in 2024, the main customers were the Kherson Regional Clinical Hospital and the Main Department of the National Police in Mykolaiv region.
