Police visited the Odesa nightclub Palladium at night because of a complaint that Russian music was being played in the establishment.

This was reported by eyewitnesses.

The police have not yet commented on the incident, but the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper, said that the OMA is categorically against Russian music in clubs or other public places.

He stated that he had instructed the relevant departments of the administration to look into the situation and provide a legal assessment of the venue's actions. The organizers must explain how this was possible in a city that is officially recognized as a war zone.

Earlier, Odesa City Council deputy Andriy Vagapov asked the head of the military city administration, Serhiy Lysak, to initiate an inspection of Odesa bus carriers and drivers for compliance with transportation rules. He was prompted to take this step by an incident involving Taras Kordonets, a war veteran with a third-group disability who was captured by the Russians, when the driver was outraged that the veteran used his combatant's certificate, which entitles him to free transportation.

Meanwhile, the Secretariat of the Commissioner for the Protection of the State Language registered 2,227 complaints from citizens regarding violations of the Law of Ukraine "On the Functioning of the Ukrainian Language as the State Language" in the first three quarters of 2025. Most complaints about violations of language legislation came from Kyiv - 870 appeals (39% of the total), Odesa - 339 (15%), Kharkiv - 286 (13%), and Dnipro - 201 (9%) regions.
