A tender has been announced in Odesa for the restoration of the Circular Building of the Infectious Diseases Hospital, an architectural monument. The cost of the work was estimated at over UAH 68 million.

This is evidenced by the data of the Prozorro procurement system.

The Capital Construction Department of the Odesa City Council has announced an open tender for the implementation of priority emergency and conservation works to restore the Circular Building, an architectural monument of national importance that is part of the city's clinical infectious diseases hospital. The facility is located in the center of Odesa on Pastera Street.

According to the tender description, the expected cost of the works is UAH 68.6 million. Funding is provided at the expense of the local budget and other sources not prohibited by law.

According to the terms of the procurement, the works are to be completed by December 31, 2026. The bid security is set at UAH 300 thousand, but there are no requirements to ensure the fulfillment of the contract.

Bids will be accepted until October 22, 2025, and the auction is scheduled for the same day. The customer is the Capital Construction Department of the Odesa City Council.

As stated in the tender documentation, the restoration of the Circular Building is part of the measures to preserve the historical heritage of Odesa. The building of the infectious disease hospital is an architectural monument of national importance, but in recent years it has been in a state of disrepair and needs urgent repair.

In September, the Odesa City Council updated its Health program, allocating more than UAH 6 billion for the city's healthcare this year. The additional funding will be used to upgrade hospital equipment, develop rehabilitation departments and support staff, while some funds for the military and prevention have been cut. Another UAH 31.3 million has been allocated to equip rehabilitation departments in hospitals No. 1, No. 5 and No. 11, which will allow the completion of repairs and opening of new departments for patients.
