Odesa Faces Massive Drone Attacks: Civilian Infrastructure Damaged, 3 Injured

On the night of March 21, the enemy massively attacked Odesa and the region with attack drones.

This was reported by the Odesa Military Administration.

Civilian infrastructure was damaged, including a residential high-rise, a shopping center and shops. Three people were injured, including minors. As a result of the Russian attack, powerful fires broke out in three locations. Local emergency power outages were also introduced in the Primorsky, Peresypsky and Kyiv districts of Odesa.

More than 70 rescuers took part in the response, 22 fire trucks, as well as 5 volunteers and 1 unit of equipment were used.

Also in the evening, on March 6, a sabotage attack damaged energy facilities and residential buildings in the suburban area of Odesa. As a result of an enemy strike, three private residential buildings caught fire in the suburbs of Odesa. Damage to critical energy facilities was also reported. This was the fourth consecutive night of attacks on Odesa's infrastructure.

This is not the first massive attack on civilian infrastructure and the residential sector in Odesa region in recent times. On the evening of March 5, the town of Pivdenne came under attack. Two people were injured in the attack, one of them was hospitalized. A private two-story house was heavily damaged, and the windows of an administrative building were also damaged. In addition, one of the energy facilities in the region was damaged.

In the evening of March 4, the strikes damaged the city' s critical infrastructure: part of Odesa was left without electricity, water and heat. Debris from the downed drones damaged private homes in the suburbs of Odesa, causing fires. The drone attack killed retired police colonel Anatoliy Korpan. He was the deputy head of the Department for Combating Organized Crime of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Odesa Region.
