Odesa City Council official lied in declarations for 9 million hryvnias

The Rozdilnyansky District Court found Olena Pryhunkova, head of the Department of Engineering Protection of the City Territory and Coastal Development of the Odesa City Council, guilty of submitting false information in her declaration.

According to the Center for Public Investigations, citing the court's verdict, she was fined UAH 68,000.

In particular, the official failed to indicate in her declarations information about her

• Real estate worth over UAH 2.8 million (in the declaration for 2022) and over UAH 3.1 million (for 2023), including two apartments of 44.7 square meters in the village of Kryzhanivka, Odesa region, and 74.8 square meters in Odesa, as well as six land plots in Odesa and Mykolaiv regions;
• a car Land Rover Range Rover made in 2011, worth UAH 300 thousand;
• the cost of a Scania truck, made in 2012;
• corporate rights in two farms and a limited liability company in the aggregate amount of over UAH 500 thousand;
• income in the form of transfers from third parties, alienation of cars, as well as income from which the declarant replenished his card account in the aggregate amount of more than UAH 1.2 million (for 2022) and more than UAH 915 thousand (for 2023).

In particular, the materials of full audits of the official's declarations for 2022 and 2023 conducted by the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption, which revealed inaccurate information in the amount of more than UAH 9.4 million.

In addition to the fine, the official was deprived of the right to hold positions related to the implementation of organizational, administrative and economic functions in local governments for a period of three years.
