The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has reported exposing another case of enemy infiltration of Ukrainian military-industrial complex facilities. It is noted that the SBU counterintelligence carried out the operation in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine.
As a result of complex measures, two employees of a defense plant were detained in Mykolaiv region: a laboratory assistant and a mechanic. It was established that they worked for Russian military intelligence (better known as the GRU).
The investigation showed that the agents acted independently of each other, but had a common goal. They "leaked" to the occupiers the geolocation of the production workshops and passed on information about the facility's security system.
In addition, the Russian special services tried to obtain information through their "moles" about the existence and types of defense orders fulfilled by the enterprise.
The suspects also reportedly performed surveillance tasks: they "reported" to their supervisor on the consequences of combined missile and drone attacks on the port city and monitored the deployment of Ukrainian troops in the region.
Investigative and operative actions are ongoing to establish all the circumstances of the crime.

According to the case file, both defendants came to the attention of Russian military intelligence when they posted anti-Ukrainian comments on Telegram channels.
During the searches, the SBU seized smartphones with media files and coordinates of defense facilities where Russians were preparing air strikes.
Based on the evidence collected, SBU investigators served both agents a notice of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law).
The offenders are in custody without the right to be released on bail. They face life imprisonment with confiscation of property. The operation was conducted by the SBU Office in Mykolaiv region under the supervision of the Regional Prosecutor's Office.
