The National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption has found signs of declaring false information by former Deputy Head of the Odesa Regional State Administration Roman Hryhoryshyn in his financial report for 2023.

The NACP published this information in a certificate on the results of a full audit of Roman Hryhoryshyn's declaration for 2023.

If found guilty of committing an offense under Part 1 of Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, Roman Hryhoryshyn faces a fine of three thousand to four thousand tax-free minimum incomes or community service for a term of one hundred fifty to two hundred forty hours, or restraint of liberty for up to two years, with disqualification to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years.

In particular, the NACP noted that Roman Hryhoryshyn concealed information about the possession of certain documents by his family members, such as foreign passports for his children. The NACP also found inaccurate information about the former deputy's real estate. For example, he stated that he owned a warehouse in Ivano-Frankivsk, but in fact he only partially owned it.

He also concealed data on the value of a land plot that his wife bought in 2022 by marking the corresponding field "not applicable." The NACP found out that the land cost UAH 250,999.

In his declaration, the former official did not mention his savings in several bank accounts in the amount of UAH 113.8 thousand.

Finally, Roman Hryhoryshyn forgot to indicate in his declaration his financial obligations to Aitoxy UA LLC, where the former official has a 49% share of the authorized capital, i.e. UAH 4 million 265.4 thousand.

Thus, in total, the NACP found inconsistencies in the former official's declaration amounting to UAH 4 million 565.2 thousand.

In early March, the NACP reported that Olena Pryhunkova, head of the accounting, personnel and archival work department of the city's engineering protection and coastal development department of the Odesa City Council, was suspected of concealing property worth UAH 4.89 million.

Also, Serhii Biba, a deputy of the Odesa Regional Council from the banned OPFL, concealed assets in his declaration and failed to explain his daughter's expenses.

In addition, the NACP found false information in the declaration of Yuriy Shumakher, who is a beneficiary of the road company Rostdorstroy and a member of the Odesa City Council from the Trust the Deeds faction, and the deputy chairman of the Odesa Regional Council Oleksandr Urbanskyi may receive a fine for not including an Audi car worth about UAH 5 million in the declaration.
