The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine ( NABU) confirmed that a special operation was underway at the Office of the Prosecutor General.

The Bureau stated that it is conducting a special operation to expose a criminal organization led by an official from the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, which is involved in providing protection for a network of fraudulent call centers and the laundering of assets.

They promised to release details at a later date.

The Office of the Prosecutor General stated that the employee, whose involvement in illegal activities is being investigated, will be suspended from his official duties for the duration of the pre-trial investigation.

The Office of the Prosecutor General also assured that it would provide full cooperation to anti-corruption agencies and all necessary information within the bounds of the law.

“This incident must undergo an objective legal assessment in accordance with the procedure established by law,” the Office of the Prosecutor General added.
