Russian occupation forces once again attacked Ukraine at night, launching several groups of drones from different directions. Some of them headed for Mykolaiv region.

According to Vitaliy Kim, head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, on the night of February 18, Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed two kamikaze drones in the skies over the region.

At the same time, on February 17, at 18:35, the Russian army launched an artillery strike on the Kutsurubska community in Mykolaiv district. The shelling damaged a private house and a power line in the village of Kutsurub. Four settlements in the community - Kutsurub, Ivanivka, Yaselka and Dmytrivka - were left without electricity. Currently, power engineers have managed to restore electricity supply in three villages, and repair works are ongoing. There were no casualties as a result of the attack.

In addition, on the same day, Russian occupation forces attacked the coast of Ochakiv twice using FPV drones. No one was injured as a result of these attacks.

On February 16, an extraordinary commission was convened in Mykolaiv due to the night attack and the consequences of the attack on the city were shown. More than a hundred thousand people in Mykolaiv were left without heating as a result of a Russian "shahed" strike on the city's critical infrastructure.

A day earlier, on February 15, a fire broke out on the territory of an agricultural enterprise in Mykolaiv district due to the fall of UAV debris, which was quickly extinguished. The blast wave also damaged a private house, an educational institution, a boiler house, a water treatment plant, an administrative building and an outpatient clinic. There were no casualties.

On the night of February 14, air defense forces in Mykolaiv region destroyed seven enemy drones. During the day, the occupiers shelled the Kutsurubska and Ochakivska communities with artillery and FPV drones, damaging buildings.
