Mykolaiv is planning to change the tariffs for funeral services starting April 1. The decision is to be approved by the executive committee.

This was reported on the website of the Mykolaiv City Council.

It was explained that the main reason for the changes is the need to establish economically reasonable prices in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine.

The new tariffs regulate the cost of such services as paperwork, digging graves manually or mechanized, burying urns with ashes, dismantling gravestones, etc.

The new prices are much higher than the previous ones. For example, digging a grave measuring 1.1×0.7×0.8 meters by hand in non-frozen soil of the first group will cost 355 hryvnias, and in frozen soil - 665 hryvnias. Previously, these services were estimated at UAH 263 and UAH 467, respectively.

For soil of the second group, similar work will rise even more: from 340/541 hryvnia (unfrozen/frozen soil) to 550/851 hryvnia.

The bigger the grave, the higher the price. For example, for digging a grave measuring 1.6×0.95×2.0 meters in unfrozen soil of the first group, you will have to pay 1758 hryvnias, and in frozen soil - 3278 hryvnias. For the second group, the prices are even higher - UAH 2720 and UAH 4197, respectively. Compared to the previous prices, which were UAH 1227/2129 and UAH 1682/2771, the increase is about 30-40%.
