Residents of Mykolaiv are actively involved in supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine through the charity initiative "Cover for Enemies" implemented by the OVES Foundation.

According to the press service of the Mykolaiv City Council, one of the plastic collection centers is the Liski Park, where the Mykolaiv Parks utility company has installed a special heart-shaped container.

Over the last period, we managed to collect 18 bags of lids that could have ended up in a landfill, but now help our defenders. In total, during the year of cooperation, the city residents collected more than 600 kg of plastic.

The collected materials were transferred for recycling, and the proceeds will be used to purchase drones for the Ukrainian military. The campaign is ongoing, and everyone can join in by bringing plastic lids to the designated collection points.

In 2024, Mykolaiv continued to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine despite a limited budget and the removal of military personal income tax. Thanks to the community's efforts, the military received drones, cars, generators, starliners, electronic warfare systems, and other equipment that contributed to effective work at the front.

Recently, the community of Mykolaiv handed over another batch of drones to the Armed Forces of Ukraine operating in the Kherson sector. In early December, five Mykolaiv brigades received quadcopters and a mini-power plant. They received 90 DJI Mavic quadcopters and a compact Jackery mini-power plant. The 35th Separate Marine Brigade received another set of drones.

In November, at the request of the 188th Battalion of the 123rd Territorial Defense Brigade, we delivered camouflage nets, trench candles, necessary equipment, household chemicals, some clothing, batteries and medicines to the defenders.
