The twenty-seventh extraordinary session of the Mykolaiv Regional Council of the eighth convocation will be held on February 13 at 10:00. The session will be held online via video conference. Traditionally, the event will be broadcast online by Intent.

According to the order of the regional council chairman Anton Tabunschyk, the deputies will be offered to consider 16 issues on the agenda. The deputies will have the opportunity to amend the Mykolaiv Oblast Development Strategy for the period up to and including 2027. Prior to the session, the Commission for Housing, Capital Construction and Architecture reviewed the amendment proposals and decided to approve the creation of port infrastructure, installation of alternative energy and construction of an agro-industrial complex. As Oleksandr Korolev, Head of the Department of Economic Development and Regional Policy at Mykolaiv Regional State Administration, noted at the time, the update of the regional strategy became necessary due to the adoption of the State Strategy for Regional Development for 2021-2027.

In addition, the deputies will be asked to appoint directors of the Mykolaiv Regional Oncology Center and the Granite-Steppe Pobuzhzhia Regional Landscape Park. The candidacy of Maksym Beznosenko, who has been acting as the head of the institution for a year, has been proposed as the director of the cancer center, while the current head, Oleksandr Molodovanov, will remain the director of the park.

The deputies also have to approve the early resignation of Vladyslav Neveselyi , a deputy from the Servant of the People party, and Svitlana Fedorova , a deputy from the banned Nash Krai party. Fedorova explained her withdrawal from the council by saying that it was unacceptable for her to work with the current leadership, which, according to her, demonstrates complete inaction, corruption and evasion of mobilization.

At the last session of the regional council, in accordance with the resolution of the election commission, the new council members from the Nash Krai party, Khrystyna Malysh and Olha Ostapchuk , were introduced to the elected representatives . They replaced Yuriy Kormyshkin and Oleh Malyarenko, who resigned their seats. In addition, the deputies elected two deputies for the head of the regional council, Anton Tabunschyk. Ihor Shcherbyna and Denys Andriyev were elected as deputies.
