Mykolaiv Regional Council to Discuss 24 Issues Including

The twenty-ninth extraordinary session of the regional council of the eighth convocation has been convened in Mykolaiv, to be held on May 1, 2025.

The website of the regional council currently does not contain an order from its chairman, Anatoliy Tabunschyk, but instead publishes an announcement of the session. During the session, the deputies will consider 24 issues.

Among them are consent to the transfer of individually identified property within the community and its write-off, as well as the transfer of real estate to the Mykolaiv Regional Information and Analytical Center for Medical Statistics for operational management.

In addition, it is planned to amend the charters of the regional clinical hospital, the regional phthisiopulmonary medical center, and the regional children's clinical hospital.

The deputies are also to discuss the reorganization of the Ochakiv secondary sanatorium school and make changes to the composition of the regional council's standing committees. The last issue on the agenda is the early termination of the powers of deputy Vysotsky VP.

Recently, at the presidium, the deputies discussed draft decisions for the next session, including amendments to the charter of the Mykolaiv Regional Museum of Local Lore and the appointment of new managers for several municipal cultural and sports institutions.

One of the main issues was amending the Mykolaiv Oblast Development Strategy until 2027, according to which village, town, city, and district councils were recommended to update their strategic documents.

At the last session, Svitlana Fedorova, a deputy from the banned Nash Krai party, and Vladyslav Neveselyi, a deputy from the Servant of the People party, resigned their seats early. Svitlana Fedorova explained her decision by saying that she was uncomfortable working with the current leadership, while Vladyslav Neveselyi did not explain the reason for his resignation.

In addition, the deputies approved new directions for the development of Mykolaiv region, including the creation of a transport and logistics hub with a developed port infrastructure, the development of the blue economy, alternative energy sources and an innovative agricultural sector.
