In the Mykolaiv region, the city hospital was reconstructed to convert its therapeutic and pediatric departments into a modern obstetric and gynecological hospital.
This is evidenced by the DREAM ecosystem data.
Pervomaisk has planned major repairs and reconstruction of the premises of the Pervomaisk Central City Multidisciplinary Hospital at 128 Knyaziv Ostrozkykh Street. It is planned to convert the therapeutic, pediatric surgical and anesthesiology departments with intensive care beds into a modern obstetric and gynecological hospital.
The project aims to create a comfortable environment for women in labor and newborns, to comply with sanitary and hygienic standards, to ensure accessibility for people with disabilities, to optimize the use of space and to save energy. The reconstruction includes facade insulation, replacement of power grids, water supply and heating systems, upgrading of ventilation and air conditioning, and installation of modern elevators.
As part of the renovation, the ground floor lobby, waiting area, and children's corner are to be updated. The second floor is to be occupied by an obstetric inpatient department, examination rooms, 6 pregnancy pathology wards, 6 gynecological wards, an operating room, a small operating room, a procedure room, rooms for medicines and psychological support, as well as a training room and isolation wards.
On the third floor, there are plans to locate intensive care units, a compressor room, rooms for preparing formula and BCG, a resident's room, nursing rooms, and utility rooms. The fourth floor will include two individual delivery rooms, 20 individual rooms for mothers and children with showers and toilets, an examination room, a manipulation room, a resident room, operating rooms, postoperative rooms, and a medication storage room.
The total budget of the project is UAH 18.8 million. However, there is currently no confirmed funding. The initiator and balance sheet holder is the Pervomaisk Central City Hospital of the City Council.
The project is part of the community development strategy. Its goal is to improve the level of medical care, to create a modern and safe obstetric and gynecological hospital accessible to all groups of the population, including patients with limited mobility.
Mykolaiv also announced the renovation of Children's Hospital No. 2 with facade insulation and window replacement. Funding is not yet available, so the timing of the reconstruction has not yet been determined.
