Law enforcement officers of the Mykolaiv Prosecutor's Office extradited a citizen of the Republic of Moldova, who was on the international wanted list. The man was handed over to the competent authorities of Moldova.
This was reported by the Mykolaiv Regional Prosecutor's Office on Facebook.
According to the prosecutor's office, the foreigner was sentenced in Moldova to two years in prison for drug smuggling. After fleeing from justice, he was hiding in Ukraine.
In October 2025, the man was detained by the National Police in accordance with the requirements of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. At the request of the prosecutor, the court applied extradition arrest to him, after which he was placed in the Mykolaiv pre-trial detention center.
The prosecutor's office conducted an extradition check to find out whether there were grounds for refusing extradition. The materials were sent to the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, which decided to satisfy the request of the Moldovan side.
An HR inspector in Mykolaiv region organized a scheme worth hundreds of thousands of hryvnias at Ukrposhta. She withdrew the money through fictitious employment and now faces up to 12 years in prison.
The woman, suspected of large-scale embezzlement of state-owned enterprise funds, had been wanted for more than four years. She is accused of embezzling more than UAH 838 thousand through a scheme of fictitious employment of 83 people at the Voznesensk Postal Center No. 2 of the Mykolaiv Directorate of Ukrposhta.
According to the investigation, from 2013 to 2015, the HR inspector hired non-existent employees - mostly relatives, acquaintances or unemployed people who did not actually perform any duties.
