Mykolaiv Offers One-Time Financial Aid for Residents in Need

Citizens of the city can receive one-time financial assistance due to difficult life circumstances.

The decision was made at a meeting of the Executive Committee of Mykolaiv City Council.

Financial support is usually provided once a year and can reach up to 10 subsistence minimums, depending on the specific situation.

Patients with long-term treatment can receive up to 2 subsistence minimums, people who have undergone surgery - up to 3 subsistence minimums, cancer patients and those who need implants - up to 5 subsistence minimums. Also, citizens in difficult life circumstances - up to 10 subsistence minimums

Separate categories of payments:

To apply for the payment, you must submit an application and relevant supporting documents. In case of loss of loved ones or injury during the shelling of Mykolaiv, an act of inspection of the applicant's living conditions is not required. If any of the citizens need such support, they can contact the relevant authorities for more information.

Mykolaiv has also agreed to provide targeted financial assistance to residents in need of social support. The local budget has allocated over UAH 169 thousand for this purpose. The assistance will include targeted scholarships for people who are 100 years old or older. Residents who find themselves in a difficult situation due to health problems will also be able to receive financial assistance for treatment.

Earlier, the city budget allocated more than UAH 13 million to support children, with special attention paid to helping orphans and those without parental care.

Last year, Mykolaiv also increased financial assistance for the wounded and those killed in the shelling. One-time payments for the wounded were increased by 10 thousand hryvnias and now amount to 20 thousand. Families of the deceased receive assistance in the amount of 30 thousand hryvnias.
