The meeting of the executive committee of Mykolaiv City Council is scheduled to begin on April 14, 2025 at 10:00 am. During the meeting, the members of the executive committee will consider issues related to the budget, state subventions, humanitarian aid and utilities.

This was reported by the press service of the Mykolaiv City Council.

The agenda includes 99 issues, including 4 blocks related to guardianship.

Among other things, members of the executive committee are to consider a draft decision on the redistribution of expenditures for 2025 to the executive committee of the Mykolaiv City Council. The draft decision proposes to reallocate funds between defense programs:

- to reduce funding for territorial defense measures by UAH 1.5 million (506 thousand for the purchase of materials and equipment, 1 million for payment for services);
- to increase spending on local mobilization training by the same amount: in particular, for the purchase of necessary materials and payment for services (not utilities).

Also on the agenda of the executive committee is the creation of centers for teaching the subject "Defense of Ukraine" in general secondary education institutions, and amendments to the procedure for drawing up, approving, and monitoring the implementation of financial plans of municipal enterprises.

In addition, international technical assistance provided under the Partnership for a Strong Ukraine Foundation project, which includes bulletproof vests, helmets, laptops, modems, generators, charging stations, tools, etc., should be coordinated.

It is proposed to approve the list of military units and state institutions working in the field of defense and security, and to determine the amount of subvention from the city budget to be transferred to the state budget to support national resistance measures at the local level in 2025. Responsibility for the maintenance of public amenities in Mykolaiv is yet to be divided between municipal enterprises and executive bodies.

In addition, they will consider providing financial assistance and awarding the honorary title of "Mother Heroine." They will also discuss the dismantling of temporary structures and improvement of living conditions.

At the previous meeting, the executive committee planned to reconstruct the main water supply system along Myru Avenue, from Pivdenna Street to Pohranichna Street, as well as the boiler room in the building of Mykolaiv Gymnasium #23 on Garzionna Street. Both projects may receive funding from the European Investment Bank. In addition, an open all-Ukrainian architectural competition for the best project proposal for the restoration of the Officers' Assembly complex, an architectural monument of national importance in the central district of Mykolaiv, has been launched.
